The Third International Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment  (SIBE-2017) was held in September 26-27, 2017 at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Bandung, Indonesia. This year, the conference discussed and evaluated the infrastructures built in the past as well as current and future innovations, policies and new directions regarding to the infrastructure.

SIBE-2017 was held in collarboration with Hokkaido University, National Taiwan University, Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and Minstry of National Development Planning. Keynote speeches on the conference were given by the speakers as follow:

1. Prof. Dr. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro, as the Minister of National Development Planning.
2. Ir. Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono, M.Sc., Ph.D, as the Minister of Public Works and Housing, which was represented by Dr. Ir. Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, M. Eng., Sc, as the Research and Development Body of Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
3. Prof. Shang-Hsien Hsieh, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan.
4. Prof. Takashi Matsumoto, Hokkaido University, Hokkaido, Japan.
5. Prof. Dr. Ryo Kohsaka, Tohoku University, Tohoku, Japan.

A total of 137 papers were submitted to SIBE-2017 with the steering committee and speakers from 12 countries participated in the paper presentation parallel session and reviewing. Topics included in the parallel session were Structure and Materials, Transportation System and Engineering, Water Resources Engineering & Management, Water & Waste Engineering and Management, Ocean & Maritime Engineering, Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, and Environmental Protection and Management.

On the Cultural Dinner Session which was held in September 26, 2017, the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan gave a keynote speech as the represntative from the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

Those who have submitted the paper before July 30 is allowed to revise their full paper before the extended deadline.

Complete Author Guidelines information to publish your paper in SIBE 2017 is now available to be viewed here. Please submit your full paper not later than July 1, 2017.

Due to the high volume of submitted abstract, we are announcing that the deadline of abstract submission date for SIBE-2017 has been extended from April 1, 2017 to April 30, 2017. The conference date, however, does not change and still will be held in September 26-27, 2017. Complete information of important dates can be viewed here.

Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment: Past, Present and Future

Bandung – Indonesia, September 26th -27th, 2017

SIBE 2017 aims to provide a platform for exchange of ideas and information among academics, researchers, consultants, engineers, manufacturers, and post graduate scholars in civil, ocean, and environmental engineering.

SIBE 2017 is organized by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB)–Indonesia, in collaboration with Hokkaido University-Japan and National Taiwan University-Taiwan.

The scope of the conference covers all aspects of civil, ocean, and environmental engineering practices which includes the following:

1. Structure and materials

2. Transportation system and engineering

3. Water resources engineering and management

4. Water & waste engineering and management

5. Ocean engineering

6. Construction management

7. Geotechnical engineering

8. Environmental protection and management

Prospective authors are invited to submit a 300-400 words text-only abstract, which contain author contacts and related scope of conference as well. Abstract should be submitted by email to sibe.info@ftsl.itb.ac.id. For further information please visit SIBE website.

Deadline of paper abstract submission is 1 April 2017. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (printed and online) and selected presented papers will be published in Journal of Engineering and Technological Sciences which is indexed by Scopus and other main databases.
